Yes — Memos itself is free. The free tier covers generous everyday use of AI features and cloud storage. Heavy users can subscribe to Puter for much higher limits, but most people never need to.

How does the AI work?

Memos uses top models — Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok — through Puter. No API keys to manage. AI requests draw from your Puter credits; you get a free monthly allowance.

What about storage?

Notes live in your personal Puter cloud. The free tier covers thousands of typical notes. If you need more, a Puter subscription unlocks significantly more storage.

Where is my data?

In your personal Puter drive — not ours. We never see the contents of your notes. You control access, exports, and deletion at any time.

Can I import my existing notes?

Yes — drag in .md, .mdx, or .txt files and they import as new notes with formatting preserved.

What about exports?

Every note can be downloaded as Markdown. Or export your full library as a zip — your data is always portable.
